Pre-Construction Services

Henson Construction Co. provides professional construction services in the areas of pre-construction and value engineering. Our wide range of projects gives us the opportunity to deal with many types of building methods and products. We will integrate our past construction experience with the project team. Our input on available and economical construction methods allow us to complete a project more efficiently, in budget and ahead of schedule.  

We provide in house estimating using past project and current market cost data. Our computer data base contains this project information along with an unmatched qualified list of subcontractors and suppliers. This list allows us to solicit a large number of bids from subcontractors for the different divisions of the project.  The ability to solicit and receive more bids drives the price of the project down, therefore allowing the owner to receive the benefit of a lower project cost.  

Tracking project job costs is one of the most important factors in maintaining a project budget.  Henson Construction Co. utilizes Timberline Construction Software for accounting and job cost reporting. We prepare a budget for all of the construction divisions used on a project. Our firm prints weekly job cost reports showing expenses to date and balance remaining for the different divisions.  The job cost reports allow us to monitor construction cost and implement measures to maintain a project within budget.

Another service we offer is in-house project scheduling. We have the software and hardware to provide computer generated schedules. The scheduling program reflects the construction task duration, start and finish date.
